Lay Eucharistic Ministers & Visitors

Lay Eucharistic Ministers and Visitors are licensed by the bishop to administer the consecrated bread and wine at any celebration of the Holy Eucharist to assist the celebrant.  Lay Eucharistic Visitors are licensed by the bishop to go from a Holy Eucharist to share the sacrament with members who were unable to be present at the celebration due to illness or infirmity.


This is understood to be an extraordinary ministry, and is not to take place of the ministry of priests and deacons concerning the administration of the eucharist.

Holy Eucharist at the Fountains

Once a month, Father McVey and a lay eucharistic minister visit the Fountains of Franklin Senior Living Residence to celebrate and administer the eucharist.


Prayer Team


The Prayer Team consists of at least two people intentionally praying for the needs of Advent, its members, friends, and family Monday through Saturday. Each week they are provided with updated prayer requests.  Prayer team members identify and commit to a time of prayer on a day that is compatible with their schedule. All that is required is a sincere and prayerful heart.
